How a teacher's email turned into a whole new page
A few weeks ago I got an email from a teacher.
She wanted to do a coffee monster project with her class and asked if I had any tips. You know—paper, technique, that kind of thingy. Surely I replied with a one-liner.
Yeah. That's not what happened. 😉
I started typing and literally couldn't stop.
Paper choices. Splat techniques. Drying times. Tricks. Before I knew it, I had something that was way too good to live in one person's inbox.
So I turned it into a guide on how to make coffee monsters.
Find the comprehensive coffeemonster making guide here
It's called the Monster Factory and it lives right here on the site now. It's for anyone who's ever stared at a coffee ring on their desk wondering what creature is hiding inside it. Teachers, parents, kids, monsterfolks of all kinds.
Spoiler: there's always a creature hiding inside it.
Go check it out and if you end up making monsters with a class, a kid, or just yourself on a Tuesday afternoon, I'd genuinely love to see them.
Tag me. Send me a photo. Slide into my inbox like that teacher did.
Look where that got us, right? :D
